Z-Transform Defined – Six Sigma Glossary of Terms

A Z-Transform is an equation that transfers a set of data represented by a normal distribution into a standard normal distribution (mean equals zero and standard deviation equals one) by subtracting the original mean from the data set and dividing the result by the original standard deviation.
