clinical patient flow, compliance and education solutions, announces the
appointment of Lori Frampton, RN, MHS, Certified Lean Six Sigma Black
Belt, as Vice President of Patient Flow Process Improvement and Data
Analysis. Building on Medworxx’ current 30% Canadian hospital bed market
share and growing international presence, Frampton will concentrate her
efforts on optimizing data analytics and process improvement
methodologies to support hospitals’ patient flow efforts.
“Lori will support healthcare consultants to elevate their performance
improvement initiatives in patient flow. Given her extensive experience
in designing and implementing process improvement initiatives in the
acute-care setting throughout Canada and the US, we are certain that
Lori will add tremendous value to our company and customers,” says Dan
Matlow, CEO and President at Medworxx.
With 18 years of health industry experience including senior roles with
Royal Victoria Hospital, Ontario MOHLTC and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial
Hospital, Frampton will leverage a wealth of performance improvement
knowledge and patient flow best practices for Medworxx. Prior to
joining, she was the Director of Community and Acute Quality Improvement
Programs for Health Quality Ontario. She also led a provincial team
responsible for the delivery of lean process improvement projects
throughout Ontario hospitals.
She brings a wide range of expertise to this position including:
healthcare management, process improvement, hospital operations
leadership and coaching teams to achieve higher performance levels.
Medworxx has established an innovative framework for the Patient Flow
Diagnostic Program that has been implemented by consulting practices.
The program provides consultants with a diagnostic toolkit consisting of
high-level data and analytics that identify real-world barriers and
delays in patient flow. Applying the program, consultants are able to
gain clear visibility into performance gaps and translate this insight
into high impact improvement recommendations in dramatically shorter
timeframes. Frampton will leverage her experience, skill-set, and clear
vision to manage the program and take it to the next level.
“It is very unique. Currently most consultants have to use data that is
onerous to collect and often times not as reliable as one would hope.
The Patient Flow Diagnostic Program provides valuable insights on
patient flow and utilization which help consultants better identify
opportunities for improvement and then monitor the outcomes of those
improvements. Applying the Patient Flow Diagnostic helps consulting
partners get the most reliable information quickly,” says Frampton.
Medworxx expects that Frampton will develop new relationships with
consulting groups around the globe and position Medworxx as an integral
part of their process and quality improvement initiatives.
“The continued development and evolution of the Patient Flow Diagnostic
Program will help broaden our partner network, strengthening our
distribution channels internationally and most importantly help more
healthcare organizations achieve optimal Patient Flow outcomes,” says
Niels Tofting, Senior Vice President of Sales.
