Sum of Squares Six Sigma
You think you’re pretty good at math? I sure do but I don’t try to perform sum of squares Six Sigma exercises in my head or with pencil and paper. I use this tool. This tool is useful when you have got a data set and you want to run it against another. This could help you find operator measurement error (remember Measurement System Analysis in your DMAIC training?). This also beats having to use Minitab for small tasks in that you can show your findings with an Excel spreadsheet to other colleagues without having to fork out for more Minitab licenses.
